China Glass, the most important annual exhibition in the glass sector throughout the whole Asian continent, will take place between May 13th and 16th, 2009.
Its importance, which rose in recent years along with the explosive development of the Chinese economy, is further magnified this year by the general economic-financial situation, thus becoming a valuable reference.
The tremendous financial efforts expended last autumn by the Chinese Government are starting to pay dividends. The forecast predicts an 8% growth of the gross domestic product, an incredibly high figure by Western logic, but barely enough for China to secure an acceptable level of social peace. The large country of China is facing the threat of looming unemployment. It would therefore be quite difficult for China to allay the tensions arising from a coerced mass return to the land.
The result is that domestic demand is keeping pace with an acceptable economic balance, even if exports inevitably suffer from the hardships of Western economies.
For the companies present in China with established production plants, China Glass becomes a relevant growth indicator. This is precisely the case of the Fenzi Group, which will be exhibiting with a stand hosting a double sales organization. One will be 100% Chinese, reflecting full integration with that entity; the other will instead have a European tone, to connect with customers worldwide.
