Fenzi North America as business ambassador in the 'Project Green Network'

The Green Economy is inexorably generating greater business opportunities across the world, especially because they are becoming veritable escape routes from the continuing global crisis. Even more important, because of this companies have been spurred into focussing on innovation and therefore into finding the healthy energy that is so necessary to pick up momentum again.

This is taking concrete shape with Partners in Project Green’s Business Ambassadors, a select community of companies being recognized for best-in-class efforts in transforming the employment lands surrounding Toronto Pearson airport into an internationally recognized eco-business zone through the implementation of waste reduction and toxic chemical reduction programs. The organization has established a post consumer material recycling program that diverts close to 20 tons of materials from landfill, and their in house paper recycling program sees over 90% of packaging paper recycled. Partners in Project Green Business also offers new B2B forms of cooperation so that all participating companies may benefit from energy and management cost reductions, identification of new business opportunities and achievement of greater competitiveness, efficiency and profitability.
Fenzi North America has also joined this community of excellence, by confirming and continuing its commitment to sustainability, which already includes producing sealants without solvents or volatile organic compounds and constantly reducing all potentially polluting materials. As a Business Ambassador, Fenzi North America gains access to dedicated business advisory services such as assistance in identifying reliable service providers sharing the same environmental protection goals, coordinating regulatory and stakeholder meetings, and advancing company specific eco-business opportunities. The large, highly representative group includes other green business leaders such as GTAA, Woodbine Entertainment Group and Unilever.

The new commitment will enable Fenzi North America to add credit to the products that the Fenzi group is bringing to the large North American market, that is, sealants, mirror coatings, ceramic and decorative paints which are already recognized and appreciated worldwide. Fenzi’s Toronto branch in particular has developed and fine tuned a new and absolutely avant-garde unit that produces high-performance polysulphide sealants for IG. Moreover, with its Thiover sealants, Fenzi has already attained a significant achievement: the use of this special, next-generation sealant earns LEED® points and certifies buildings under the U.S. Green Building Rating System.
