The Thermobar warm edge spacer is a rigid tube made from high-performance plastic with a gas diffusion barrier to minimize gas loss from the edge of a glazing unit. Manufactured to the same dimensions as standard aluminum spacer bars and other leading tubular spacers, Thermobar boasts one of the best thermal conductivity values on the market and is also a Passive House certified component.
It features a unique gas barrier tape that ensures high adhesion to sealants, a high-performance engineering plastic tube that can be stapled for Georgian fittings, and central perforation holes for effective air passage, which is essential when using hot melt. Additionally, the holes are tapered to prevent dust ingress.
A non-taped or 'LITE' version of Thermobar is available for use with hot melt units aiming for a WER band 'B' without gas filling.
