Butylver TPS

Thermoplastic spacer with optimal warm edge performance

Butylver TPS is a single-component, solvent-free polyisobutylene advanced thermoplastic spacer designed for seamless integration with all TPS applicators. It facilitates the production of insulating glass (IG) units for standard applications (non structral), offering optimal warm edge performance and high-level industrial automation. Moreover, Butylver TPS facilitates the production of complex IGU shapes, accommodating even intricate designs such as rounds.
 
With a polyisobutylene base and integrated desiccants, Butylver TPS provides fast adhesion to glass and secondary sealants, minimal permeability, and exceptional stability for cavities up to 20 mm. These engineering features provide superior thermal insulation and long-term durability, making it an ideal solution for modern insulating glass applications.

Application guidelines

Ensure that application surfaces are thoroughly clean, dry, and free from any fatty residue before applying Butylver TPS. Utilize appropriate TPS extruders to apply Butylver TPS within the temperature range of 100°C to 130°C.
 
Before application, it's recommended to condition the material up to 50°C. Additionally, maintaining an ambient temperature above 18°C during the application process is necessary for optimal results.
 
Butylver TPS shall be used only in combination with polysulfide-based second barrier sealant.

Shelf life & Storage

Butylver TPS has a shelf life of 12 months when stored in its original containers. For optimal performance, it is recommended to store it in dry and cool rooms with temperatures maintained between +10 °C and +30 °C.
